Chimneyville Smokehouse Farmers Market Restaurant and Catering is a family style barbeque and farmers market  restaurant and catering service located in Jackson, Mississippi. Founded almost 18 years ago, in a 12 by 40 trailer with outside seating only…we have grown steadily and are now blessed to be located in the old depot building across from the Mississippi State Fairgrounds.

Starting with a few recipes for smoked meat we have continued to expand our menu to now feature not only fresh hickory smoked barbeque, smoked overnight in our real wood smokers,  but also home-style vegetables from the State of Mississippi Farmers Market located directly across the street on High Street.   Our menu changes regularly, as the seasons change and new items come in fresh from the garden.

On the catering side of the business, we feature barbeque, Mississippi grown fried catfish and hand cut seasoned rib eye steaks as well as many other items.. From large corporate caterings to small rehearsal dinners…our “ wherever two or more or gathered” theme has served us well throughout the years. Most events are served from our mobile grills with cooking done on site, location permitting.

A past cooking highlight was serving on the team of cooks that competed and won the last Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association Steak Cook Off held in conjunction with the Dixie National Livestock Show and Rodeo. Another highlight was being asked by Kingsford Charcoal to represent them in New York City last year by grilling on top of a building, Penthouse 31, when Kingsford entertained and fed magazine food editors for many of the major national monthly magazines headquartered in New York and surrounding areas. This year we are honored again to be partnering with Kingsford again and are developing several new grilling recipes that will be promoted by them nationwide in their summer grilling campaign.

A past business highlight was having Chimneyville selected as one of the outstanding small business in Jackson Mississippi by the Metro Jackson Chamber of Commerce a couple of years ago.

For 18 years, operating Chimneyville has not been a job but a ministry that we have been blessed to get to operate while we represent our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to every person who walks thru our doors.  We  never preach at anyone but hope all who enter in see the hope and joy in our daily lives and in our business not with what we say but how we go about our day taking care of all those who choose to enter in thru those doors.  Come see us!
